Job Overview
-We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Hire Service Engineer to join our growing team supporting hire equipment operations within the wastewater industry. This role involves the preparation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of specialist pumping and treatment equipment used across wastewater and utility sites.
You will play a key part in ensuring hire fleet reliability, supporting customers, and delivering high standards of service and safety.
Main Duties
-Design, plan, and conduct service work on wastewater treatment systems, components, and processes (e.g. screening, pumping, biological treatment, filtration, sludge handling).
Develop methodologies, test protocols, and acceptance criteria aligned with regulatory and customer requirements to keep our fleet working.
What we are looking for
-Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience working with wastewater treatment systems or water engineering infrastructure.
Strong understanding of wastewater processes, chemistry and system performance.
Excellent analytical and report-writing skills.
Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
Willingness to work on-site and in operational wastewater environments.
-Experience with Industrial Waste Water systems and installations.
Knowledge of UK water industry standards and regulatory frameworks.
Experience supporting bids, tenders, or customer demonstrations.
Chartered or working towards professional registration (e.g. ICE, CIWEM).
Familiarity with instrumentation, sensors, and data acquisition systems.
