Summary
We are recruiting for a Nursery Manager for a permanent full time position in an early years setting that is based near the Exeter area of Devon.
The setting is a large 50 place provision with a 'good' Ofsted grading.
The role is working 40 hours over 4 or 5 days Monday to Friday.

Requirements of the Nursery Manager role in Exeter
- A minimum Level 3 Early Years Education and Childcare Qualification or equivalent and ability to meet all standards set out in EYFS
- A minimum level 2 Maths qualification or willing to work towards
- Proven post-qualification experience in working in early education and childcare
- Strong leadership skills and experience
- Safeguarding expertise
- SendCo expertise
- Good IT skills and ability to use Google drive, nursery management software, social media platforms and online portals effectively
Duties and responsibilities:
- Actively promote and support the protection of children and young people in the workplace, ensuring that all staff and volunteers observe nursery policies and procedures to keep children safe from harm.
- Help lead and support staff to implement the EYFS
- Monitor and evaluate practice within playrooms to support improvements.
- Work with parents/carers of all children to achieve full integration in the nursery.
- Foresee the needs of all children, families and staff and give wellbeing guidance as appropriate.
- Support all staff and lead a good staff team with high morale.
- Liaise with and support parents/carers and other family members.
- Liaise with the Local Authority and other professionals for the best outcomes for all children.
- To promote the high standards of the nursery at all times to parents, staff and visitors
