Crynodeb
Triage Nurse role will include clinical triage, management of patients including assessment, diagnosis and referral. Independent nurse prescribing qualification is essential. Applicants must hold an NMC registration and ideally have previous primary care experience. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Communication:Communicate and liaise with all health care staff. Ensure that identified lines of communication are maintained with patients, colleagues and external agencies to demonstrate politeness and courtesy and sensitivity. Clinical Governance:Maintain NMC registration and professional development in line with the expectations of the role. Clinical Professional Responsibilities: Assess and manage acute illnesses in an primary care setting. Prioritise patient care. Ensure Services clinical protocols are adhered to at all times. Work within guidelines. Ensure full and accurate records are maintained and confidentially withheld. Maintain own personal and professional development plan. Appraise own performance and discuss development needs with mentor. Work at all times within the NMC Code of professional practice. Education and Training: Show commitment to life long learning and a learning environment through personal example and dissemination of skills, attitude and knowledge to others. Comply with the practice Appraisal system and attend an appraisal every year. Ensure updated mandatory training requirements are met. Health and Safety: Comply with health and safety policies and legislation and use working practices that comply with good health and safety practice. Data Protection: The post holder must at all times respect the confidentiality of information in line with the requirements of the Data Protection Act.
