Job Purpose
To deliver high quality plastering repairs and maintenance services to Haringey Council residential properties, ensuring homes are safe, well maintained and compliant with relevant standards. The role involves carrying out responsive repairs, planned maintenance and void property works while providing an excellent customer experience to council tenants.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Duties
• Carry out all aspects of plastering work, including (but not limited to):
o Skimming, bonding, rendering and patch repairs
o Dry-lining and application of finishing coats
o Plasterboard installation, ceiling repairs and making good
o Internal and external plastering
• Diagnose plastering-related defects and determine appropriate repair methods.
• Responsive repairs, and planned maintenance programmes.
• Ensure all work meets relevant building regulations, health and safety standards, and council quality requirements.
• Use mobile working devices to receive and update job instructions in real time.
Customer Service
• Provide a professional, respectful and customer focused service to residents.
• Communicate clearly with tenants regarding the scope and progress of works.
• Ensure properties are left clean, safe and secure after each visit.
