The role
Our Renewables Operations business has an exciting opportunity for a Civil Operative to join our Hydro Civil O&M Civil Squad North. This dedicated team plays a vital role in ensuring the long‑term integrity, safety and performance of our Hydro asset portfolio.
You will
-Maintain the Civil Hydro Assets within our Affric, Beauly, Conon, Shin and Great Glen catchments.
-Carry out a wide range of Civil construction duties, as part of a team of 4, ranging from replacing or repairing concrete structures and pipelines to the maintenance of buildings, roads, bridges and other assets.
-Be required to work the majority of your time outside throughout the year doing physical work, encompassing hillwalking, ditching clearing and general manual handling.
You have
-Past experience in civil construction activities, including undertaking concrete repairs, RC concreting works and general maintenance. We will consider applicants that have transferable skills from other industries.
-Plant operation experience would be advantageous. Training opportunities will be available if you do not have the relevant experience
-Safety is one of our key priorities so you should have the ability to risk assess activities throughout your working day and to work within our Health and Safety guidelines.
-The flexibility to undertake regular travel and where necessary, work away from home as required. As you will be travelling to different sites it is essential you already hold a full, current UK driving licence.
