Role: Teaching Assistant
Salary: £23,000 - £27,000 per annum + £1,000 Welcome Bonus
Location: Horley
Hours: 40 hours per week - Term Time Only
Start: 8:15am
Finish: Mon/Tues/Wed 4:45pm | Thurs 5:00pm | Fri 4:00pm

Are you passionate about supporting children to reach their full potential? We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Horley.

This role involves working closely with class teachers to support pupils, including those with Special Educational Needs, ensuring they feel safe, engaged and motivated to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils' behaviour, emotional regulation and engagement.

  • Provide structured feedback on pupil progress and attitudes.

  • Promote independence and personal development.

  • Adapt responses to behavioural changes or escalations.

  • Assist in delivering a broad and balanced curriculum.

  • Prepare and organise classroom resources.

Requirements:

  • Patient, caring and resilient approach.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Experience working with children in a school setting.

  • Previous Teaching Assistant experience desirable.

  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
