We are excited to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing business based in Grantham. They are looking for a confident and hands-on Shift Team Leader to take ownership of daily production performance and drive team success.
This is a temporary to permanent opportunity, offering long-term career prospects for the right person.
The Role
• Coordinating teams, balancing workloads, solving problems on the go, and ensuring daily targets are achieved safely and efficiently.
• Working closely with senior operations management, you’ll play a key role in keeping standards high, productivity strong, and teams motivated.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday
6:00am-2:30pm and 2:30pm-11:00pm- rotating weekly
Occasional Saturday work during busy periods
What You’ll Be Doing
• Leading and motivating teams within a busy production setting
• Organising staffing and workflow to achieve daily output targets
• Monitoring performance and adjusting resources where needed
• Collaborating with fellow team leaders to maintain smooth operations
• Reporting equipment issues or downtime promptly
• Carrying out quality checks to maintain high standards
• Championing health and safety best practice at all times
• Monitoring attendance, timekeeping, and team productivity
• Completing shift reports and production documentation
• Supporting training and development of team members
• Identifying improvement opportunities and driving efficiencies
• Assisting with resolving operational or customer-related issues
• Ensuring work areas are organised, clean, and ready for each shift
What We’re Looking For
• Previous supervisory experience in manufacturing, production, food processing, or similar environments
• A confident leader who can engage and motivate teams
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working to targets and performance metrics
• Solid understanding of workplace health and safety
• Good numeracy skills for reporting and production tracking
Desirable:
• IOSH Working Safely qualification
• First Aid certification
