Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Midday Supervisor to join our small team of Midday Supervisors. Please read the recruitment pack for further details of this role.

You will need:
• To have experience of working in a primary school as a Midday Supervisor and the ability to relate well to children
• The ability to organise and supervise simple games for groups of children and a willingness to contribute ideas to further develop the play opportunities for them during the lunch
• A willingness to participate in ongoing training and developmental opportunities offered by the school, Greenshaw Learning Trust and other providers
• The ability to be patient and remain calm in challenging situations
• The ability to supervise and organise a team of Midday Supervisors under the direction of the Headteacher or other senior leaders, as delegated by the Headteacher
• To be a positive role model to children
Main responsibilities (please see job description for other responsibilities):
• To assist the Headteacher in providing supervision on the premises during the midday break
• To encourage children in purposeful play and social skills activities as reflected in the job description
• To be responsible for the supervision and organisation of a team of Midday Supervisors
• To ensure appropriate standards of behaviour, dealing with lapses in behaviour or breaches of school rules, in line with the school’s Behaviour Policy
• To deal with first aid matters and report serious incidents to the office staff and/or Headteacher immediately they occur; to ensure the first aid box is fully stocked and the first aid book is reproduced and completed
• To organise the team to ensure adequate supervision of all indoor and outdoor areas as appropriate to the weather
