Our client is seeking a driven Sub Agent to support the delivery of high-quality civil engineering projects across a range of sectors. You’ll assist Site Agents and Project Managers in managing safety, quality, cost, workforce, and programme performance, helping ensure successful outcomes on site. This is a hands-on role that offers real responsibility and the chance to develop your career in a dynamic construction environment.
Sub Agent Project Information:
Our client delivers diverse and impactful civil engineering work, including:
•
Highways and infrastructure improvements, such as roundabout upgrades and road connections
•
Drainage, earthworks, flood alleviation and environmental schemes
•
Public realm, coastal and river defence works
•
Major utility, transport, and connectivity projects
You’ll gain experience contributing to meaningful schemes that support communities, improve transport networks, and deliver long-lasting infrastructure.
Sub Agent Responsibilities:
•
Assist with site setup, inductions, and resource mobilisation.
•
Attend pre-start/site briefings to understand requirements and risks.
•
Help produce construction programmes, method statements, and risk assessments.
•
Monitor safety, quality, environmental, and programme performance.
•
Assist in managing plant, labour, materials, and subcontractors.
•
Support snagging, handover, and as-built documentation.
•
Maintain site records, progress reports, and site correspondence.
•
Liaise professionally with site teams, clients’ representatives, and stakeholders.
Sub Agent Criteria:
•
Degree or NVQ Level 4 in Construction Management (or equivalent)
•
SMSTS, CSCS Black Card, First Aid certification
•
Knowledge of NEC, JCT, and ICE contracts
•
Competent in reading drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities
•
Experience with programme software (e.g., Asta)
•
Strong communication, team support, and organisational skills
