Are you an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer within the facilities sector? Seeking a new challenge!
My client are a leading global constuction company looking for a qualified and experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in Peterborough. This is a static role, working a shift pattern of 12 hours, 4 on/4 off, alternating between days/nights (7am-7pm/7pm-7am)
As the suitable candidate you will have experience in maintaining services including Electrical, Mechanical, Fabric, BMS, fire alarms, boilers, pressure systems, water-based systems and specialist systems in accordance with all current regulations.
You will take the lead on the maintenance, operation, and complex fault resolution of mechanical building services and critical systems.
This includes
- HVAC plant
- Medical gas installations, pumps, valves, heating, cooling, and ventilation systems, along with other associated mechanical infrastructure.
- You will ensure mechanical assets are operated safely, maintained in line with HTMs, and compliant with relevant regulations and Trust procedures.
- You will provide technical support to colleagues, offer guidance on mechanical issues, and contribute to the safe planning and delivery of mechanical works.
The Ideal candidate will have:
- City & Guilds / NVQ Mechanically Qualified (or equivalent)
- Experience in a commercial environment
- Good building services knowledge
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Be able to pass a DBS check
