As Principal Solicitor, you will play a pivotal leadership role at Wiltshire Council. You will guide a dedicated team and oversee the delivery of robust, solution‑focused legal advice across planning and property matters. You will navigate the service’s approach to complex and high‑value issues, ensuring sound governance and enabling the Council to deliver its priorities with confidence.

Your work will make a tangible difference. From advising on major developments and strategic land transactions, to shaping the legal frameworks that support regeneration and service growth. Your expertise will protect the Council’s interests, and help drive forward projects that improve outcomes for residents.

We are committed to flexible and hybrid working that supports effective leadership and service delivery. While County Hall in Trowbridge is your primary base, regular in‑person collaboration is encouraged to strengthen team cohesion and develop the next generation of legal talent.
