We are seeking a skilled Plumber / Fabric Engineer to deliver high-quality plumbing and building maintenance services across designated client properties.​

This role covers a wide range of activities including fault finding, repairs, preventative maintenance, and installations across plumbing systems and associated equipment.​

You will ensure all work is completed in line with technical standards, manufacturer instructions, and safety requirements.

Job Description

We are looking for a qualified plumber with strong technical knowledge and experience in both reactive and planned building services maintenance.​

In addition to specialist plumbing duties, you will support wider fabric maintenance tasks as required, contributing to a safe, well-maintained, and compliant environment for all building users.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out fault finding, repairs, maintenance, and installations on plumbing systems across client sites.

Perform scheduled inspections, preventative and corrective maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting of plumbing equipment.

Repair cracked pipes, clear blockages (excluding below-ground drainage), and maintain water and drainage systems.

Observe and diagnose plumbing system faults, dismantle components, and replace defective parts in line with manufacturer specifications.

Test and calibrate systems using appropriate tools and equipment to ensure correct performance.

Maintain complex plumbing systems including washers, steam cleaning devices, compressors, hydraulic lifts, and sprinkler systems.

Install and repair water heaters, tanks, sinks, showers, and fuel/oil storage components to required standards.

Support fabric maintenance tasks such as ceiling tiles, general building repairs, basic decorating, and other fabric duties as needed.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Qualified Plumber – Level 2 NVQ / City & Guilds.

Strong plumbing equipment knowledge and technical understanding.

HVAC knowledge and NVQ apprenticeship background.

Experience with vented and unvented systems (desirable).

Mechanical building services experience including fault finding, installations, inspections, and testing.

Previous experience delivering both reactive and planned preventive maintenance (PPM).

Some fabric/building maintenance experience (e.g. ceilings, general repairs).

Understanding of required temperature check ranges.

Must hold UK Driving Licence.
