Summary

We invite applications for a Fellowship in Equine Diagnostic Imaging in the Department of Clinical Science and Services. The service is integrated into the large team of specialists within RVC Equine, located in our Hawkshead Campus, a 15-minute train ride from the centre of cosmopolitan London and near a number of international airports.

The focus of the position is perfecting image acquisition skills in a variety of imaging modalities with an emphasis on radiography. The position will appeal to recent graduates wanting to improve their diagnostic image acquisition skills before going into or returning to equine practice. The position is also an ideal stepping stone for anybody interested in pursuing a residency in Large Animal Diagnostic Imaging or other specialisation in the area.

The section is equipped with a 0.27T MRI (Hallmarq), a CT (Canon Aquilion Exceed LB with Qalibra platform for standing horses and horses under GA), a gamma camera (MIE), high end ultrasound unit (GE Vivid E9, GE Logic Fortis), digital radiography (Varex, SoundEklin) with a high output generator (Sapphire Rad, Varex) and multiple portable x-ray units.

We are looking for candidates with a RCVS registrable degree in veterinary science. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

We offer a generous reward and benefits package including:

- A welcoming and friendly team
- Competitive and attractive pension package
- Generous 33 days annual leave (plus bank holidays)
- Opportunities for regular development and in-house training
- Access to free in-house CPD
- On site café and restaurant
- Free membership to the Fitness and Wellbeing Centre located on site (gym, badminton, climbing wall, Zumba, yoga and Pilates classes included)
- Cycle to work scheme
- Free mini-bus service to and from Potters Bar station and Hawkshead Campus
- A range of family friendly policies, including adoption, maternity and paternity pay and leave
- Competitive and attractive pension package
- Free use of our on-site Sports and Wellbeing Centre (gym, badminton, climbing wall, Zumba, yoga, and Pilates classes included).
Various company benefits such as the Cycle to Work scheme, TOTUM card and Apple Products discounts
