QA Assistant
£26,500k per annum
Monday – Friday / Office Hours / 37.5 hour working week
Wrexham

Our client based in the Wrexham area is currently looking for a QA Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.

Performance Objectives
• Inspecting and measuring precision parts.
• Carrying out in process inspections.
• Performing final inspections at the end of line.
• Internal Audit of QMS in accordance with the audit schedule.
• Recording the results of inspections, audits and producing product documentation.
• Problem solving day to day production issues with Production Team.
• Maintaining the calibration status of calibrated equipment.
• Perform related duties as directed by the Quality Assurance Manager and work collaboratively on improvements that help to optimise efficiencies within quality and production departments.
• Perform inspection bookings on ABAS ERP system.
• Managing the QMS with the Quality Assurance Manager including creating, improving and writing procedures.

Person Specification
• Be a self-starter that can work independently towards set targets and goals.
• Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and take ownership of workloads.
• Strong planning skills.
• Has good attention to detail.
• Able to understand technical/engineering drawings.
• Experience in inspection of parts made through CNC machining and manual turning is desirable but not essential.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Approachable with excellent interpersonal skills and confidence in communicating with all levels of personnel/stakeholders.
• Conscientious approach to work with the ability to scrutinise and self-critique own work.
• Highly self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision.
• Willingness and enthusiasm to take on new challenges and develop own role.
• The ability to be flexible and evolve with the ever-changing nature of the business.
• Team player.
• Committed to continuous improvement.
• Must be results oriented.
• High energy, positive "can do" mind-set.
• Previous experience within Quality Assurance.
• Experience within manufacturing.
• General knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Auditing skills.
