Crynodeb
The Mobile Services Operative Driver is responsible for delivering estate cleaning, caretaking and waste removal services across the borough. The role involves intensive and general cleaning of communal internal and external areas, graffiti removal, deep cleaning using specialist equipment (e.g. jet washers and steam cleaners), and clearing refuse and hazardous waste.
The postholder also transports goods and waste from council properties, responds to emergencies (e.g. fire or flood debris), carries out minor repairs, and ensures estates are safe, clean and well maintained. The role includes driving council vehicles, maintaining equipment, completing safety checks and records, and working in line with health and safety standards.
This is a physically active role requiring independent working, strong customer service skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety for residents.
