Job Title: Production Team Leader (PM Shift)
Location: Scunthorpe

Shift: Monday to Friday, 3:00pm - 11:30pm
Pay Rate: £14.35 per hour
Start Date: Immediate (upon successful interview)
Role Overview:
We are recruiting a Production Team Leader to oversee the PM shift in a food manufacturing facility specialising in raw meat materials. The role ensures production targets, team performance, stringent health & safety, and food hygiene standards are maintained, with direct responsibility for quality control on shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of operatives throughout the PM shift
- Organise daily workflow and delegate tasks according to production needs
- Monitor output and productivity, ensuring consistent achievement of targets
- Quality control:Conduct regular inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods
- Identify and resolve quality issues, including recording non-conformances and implementing corrective actions
- Maintain accurate quality documentation
- Enforce health & safety, food safety, and hygiene protocols
- Train, coach, and support team members on best practices, including quality standards
- Complete shift reports and escalate any operational or quality concerns
- Ensure all equipment is operated and cleaned according to company and industry requirements
- Oversee smooth shift handovers, communicating quality findings and unresolved issues
Person Specification:
- Experience in a supervisory or team leader role within food manufacturing (ideally raw meat environment)
- Strong understanding of food safety, health & safety, and quality control processes
- Leadership with good decision-making and troubleshooting skills
- Thorough attention to detail and commitment to compliance
- Effective communicator and motivator
