Summary
Tinman Supplies id looking to recruit a highly skilled Sheet Metal Worker to join our established fabrication team. The role is suited to a tradesperson who takes pride in precision work, understands production environments, and is confident leading others on the shop floor.
We manufacture square and spiral ductwork, fittings and associated ancillaries for a wide range of projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining build quality, supporting workflow planning, and helping develop junior team members.
This is more than a bench role- we are seeking someone who can combine strong hands-on fabrication ability with workshop leadership. You will work closely with the Production Manager and take responsibility for output quality while leading a labourer and apprentice on your shift.
Tasks will include:
Fabricating square and spiral ductwork, fittings and ancillaries to a high standard
Working from technical drawings and fabrication information with minimal supervision
Operating a full range of sheet metal machinery including, Guillotines, Pan folders, Swagers, Lock formers, spot welders and other general fabrication equipment
Supporting job planning and maintaining efficient workflow
Liaising with the Production Manager
Mentoring and guiding junior team members.
We are looking for the following:
A strong background in sheet metal fabrication (essential)
Confident reading and interpreting technical drawings
Proven workshop experience with fabrication machinery
Attention to detail and pride in workmanship
Ductwork manufacturing experience preferred
Ability to lead a small team
Manual profiling skill advantageous
