Summary
Job Title: Machine Operative
Location: Hortonwood
Pay: Starting at £13.51 per hour (Level 1), progressing up to £14.93 per hour (Level 5) after training. Pay increases as specific skill sets are achieved. This is a temp-to-perm role following successful completion of the trial period.
Shifts: Weekly rotating pattern - all shifts 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
- Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday - 46 hrs
- Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday - 34.5 hrs
Candidates must be available to work both weeks of the rota.
The Role:- Operate machinery to produce quality products, change product over, and adjust machine settings
- Pack products, print labels, and perform quality inspections
- Perform heavy lifting as part of daily duties
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment
- Complete required documentation and quality inspections
- Minimum 3 years recent experience, preferably in machine operation or a busy manufacturing environment
- Physically fit and able to carry out heavy lifting
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
- Able to work both weeks of the rotating shift pattern
- Good understanding of English (reading and writing) for aptitude testing on client site prior to start
