We are looking for a detail-focused and analytical Business Reporting Analyst to support data-driven decision-making across the HMRC West contract, delivering services to HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC).
This role is central to ensuring the integrity, accuracy and optimisation of CAFM and operational data, enabling operational, asset and commercial teams to make informed, evidence-based decisions across a complex multi-site Facilities Management environment.
The Business Reporting Analyst is responsible for maintaining, analysing and improving CAFM system data to support performance, compliance and operational efficiency across the contract.
You will produce reports, dashboards and analysis that provide clear visibility of:
- Asset performance
- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) delivery
- Reactive works trends
- Lifecycle performance
- Contractual KPI and SLA performance
Your work will ensure data quality and governance standards are maintained while supporting compliance reporting and audit readiness.
What you’ll do:
- Maintain, analyse and improve CAFM system data ensuring accuracy, completeness and compliance.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards and data visualisations supporting operational and strategic decisions.
- Conduct data quality checks, identify anomalies and implement corrective actions.
- Support CAFM system configuration, optimisation and continuous improvement.
- Extract, clean and interpret large datasets to provide actionable business insight.
- Work closely with operational, asset and commercial teams to support accurate work order management.
- Produce statutory and compliance reports aligned to contractual KPIs and SLAs.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing data extracts and evidence packs.
- Collaborate with IT and system administrators to troubleshoot issues and improve workflows.
- Drive continuous improvement across data processes, reporting cycles and system usage.
The Environment
HMRC West operates across multiple sites within a regulated public-sector environment where data accuracy and reporting transparency are critical.
Operational priorities include:
- Maintaining accurate and compliant CAFM data across multi-site operations
- Supporting operational and strategic decision-making through insightful reporting
- Identifying data gaps and implementing corrective actions
- Providing clear insights into asset and maintenance performance
- Supporting audits and statutory reporting obligations
This role requires strong analytical capability, attention to detail and the ability to translate complex data into practical operational insights.
What you bring:
- Strong experience working with CAFM systems and operational data management.
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills, including reporting and visualisation.
- Experience working with large datasets and translating data into actionable insight.
- Knowledge of FM operations, asset management or related service environments.
- High attention to detail and strong commitment to data accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving capability and process improvement mindset.
- Ability to communicate technical data clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
