Senior Registered Nurse (RGN) – Day Shifts – Up to £46,800

This nursing home cares for older people living with dementia and mental health conditions in a setting designed to feel calm, settled and genuinely homely. As Senior Registered Nurse (RGN), you will support the Deputy and Home Manager in a busy service, taking a lead role in resident enquiries, pre-assessments, admission and auditing.

Before You Apply

Recent nursing home experience is essential.

What You’ll Need

  • Valid NMC registration as a Registered General Nurse (RGN)
  • Proven experience working in a nursing home environment
  • Experience leading shifts and supervising care staff
  • Strong knowledge of dementia care and clinical governance
  • Confidence managing admissions and resident assessments

What You’ll Do

  • Act as nurse in charge during day shifts, overseeing clinical practice and staffing
  • Complete pre-admission assessments and support the admissions process
  • Liaise with families, external professionals and hospital teams
  • Support the Deputy and Home Manager with audits and compliance checks
  • Monitor medication management, care planning and risk assessments
  • Provide hands-on nursing care for residents with dementia and complex mental health needs
