Personal Assistant/Carer; full-time 36 hour week
We are a couple who have lived with serious mobility issues for a number of years. We are looking for a person to join our team to help us in the house and garden and with Personal Care. We want to live as normal a life as possible. We live in a rural location near Pitlochry.
Flexibility and the ability to work harmoniously with others are important. Training is available and you will receive in-depth guidance from us and from existing team members. We are both wheelchair users, one full-time who requires assistance with mobility and transfers. You will be comfortable driving a Wheelchair Adapted Vehicle and hold a full, clean UK licence
We have full cognitive function; we want to work with you and the team to create a happy atmosphere in our home.
We operate a twelve-hour shift system that includes weekend working and sleep-over nights at the same pay-rate as daytime. Remuneration is above industry standard. There is a full-time position (thirty-six-hour week) that can include some overtime to provide holiday relief and cover for sickness. A part-time post may also be available. You should live within 30 miles of Pitlochry.

Support with personal care, bathing, dressing and grooming Husband
Support with transfers/moving and positioning Husband
Assist with guided physiotherapy/exercise regime Both
Accompany/drive to medical and other appointments Both
Accompany/drive to social and leisure activities Both
Assist with general household routine to maintain a safe, hygienic environment Both
General domestic duties, including shopping, handyperson and gardening help Both
Assist with medication if required Husband
Assist with meals if required Husband
Assistance with wheelchairs when required Both
