Job Overview
-Maintain accurate purchase ledger records as per as JCA accounting standards and timetable.
-Assist in maintaining the treasury operations maintaining standards and escalating where appropriate.
-Collaborate with the rest of finance team by providing help and coverage during the busy month end.
Main Duties
-Accurate and timely processing of purchase ledger invoices
-Ensuring invoices are approved according the company authority matrix
-Dealing with supplier queries
-Liaising with business stakeholders to deal with invoice queries and ensuring timely invoice approval
-Monthly reconciliation of supplier accounts
-Provide cover for the Purchase Ledger Supervisor including weekly pay run and CIS.
-Ad-hoc reporting and support to business stakeholders
What we are looking for
-Minimum of 2 years previous purchase ledger experience
-The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
-Good attention to detail and accuracy
-Good communication skills and confident telephone manner
-Basic excel knowledge
-Time Management
-The capacity to think ahead, plan and prioritise own workload.
-The ability to work as part of a team.
-The ability to build professional working relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
-A positive approach, with the determination to succeed
-Industry specific knowledge in Engineering or Building Services
-Previous experience of Pegasus Opera Accounting Package/Software and Microsoft Dynamics 365
-Knowledge of CIS
