We are seeking a warm, compassionate and motivated Female Senior Support Worker to join our experienced team supporting women with long-term enduring mental health needs in our 24-hour supported living service.
At our Women’s Services in Withington, we work with women with mental health-related care and support needs. Our approach is rooted in trauma-informed and person-centred practice, empowering tenants to build confidence, develop independence, and progress in their recovery journey. We work collaboratively with tenants and partner agencies to plan care and promote wellbeing, safety and long-term independence.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, inclusive and organised. You should be passionate about supporting women in their recovery and committed to delivering a high standard of person-centred care. You will possess leadership qualities and be able to demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team. Experience supervising staff is desirable but not essential.
Role responsibilities:
• Offering practical and emotional support to our tenants
• Delivering a wide range of activities and assisting tenants to access activities and opportunities to promote wellbeing
• Overseeing rota and staffing requirements, including supervision of staff
• Communicating effectively with senior colleagues, line managers and agencies to ensure smooth service delivery
As a 24-hour service, flexibility is essential for this role. Staff work on a rolling rota designed to meet individual needs in a personalised way. We have a dedicated Waking Night team who provide support overnight.
