Regional Driver Assessor
Salary: £37,000 per annum, plus annual performance bonus and Veolia benefits
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 07:00 am - 15:30 pm, times may vary due to travel.
Location: Tollgate Drive, Tollgate Industrial Site, Stafford, Staffordshire, ST16 3HS
Other Required Working Locations: Broadland, Chesterfield, Northampton, Solihull, Wyre

What you'll be doing;
- To provide ongoing driver training and assessments throughout the year ensuring that the company is maintaining the highest possible standards.
- To ensure each driver is assessed in detail a minimum of once per year providing written feedback on points to note and how they can modify their driving style.
- All records to be filed correctly in the driver's training file.
- Monitor the accident and incident rates across the fleet and workforce analysing the main areas of concern and devising improvement plans with the Regional Manager to reduce the rates.
- Be responsible for your own and others Health and Safety whilst on site and assist in driving the Company's Health and Safety objectives and targets throughout your area of responsibility.
- If required, to provide driver assessments to other Veolia depots and provide feedback to Managers including action plans for drivers.
- Provide management information and reports if /when requested by other
- Veolia departments and line management.
- Training delivery: Provide professional training and guidance around driving duties.
- Administration: Support the local operations by adhering to associated paperwork.
- Create and maintain a schedule of assessments to maximise periods of productivity by ensuring multiple assessments are carried out whilst in a specific locality.
- Maintain a professional and customer focused attitude at all times.
What we're looking for;
Essential:
- Valid UK HGV Class 2 Licence with CPC/Tacho Card
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, presentation, training and coaching skills.
- Excellent technical experience, knowledge and qualifications preferably in the waste management sector.
- Be self motivated with the ability to work to deadlines and work on your own initiative.
- Maintain a flexible and positive work ethic accepting the demands of the business.
Desirable:
- Currently trained as a Driver Assessor.
- Transport Manager CPC.
- Train the Trainer on vehicle and/or plant.
- NEBOSH or IOSH certificate.
- Knowledgeable about road safety, driving laws and the Highway Code.
- Be able to demonstrate basic vehicle checks.
- Be prepared to engage in further personal development as/when required.
- Track record of progression in a supervisory/management role.
