Crynodeb
PDQ Lifting Ltd is recruiting a Lifting Equipment Technician to carry out LOLER inspections, lifting equipment testing, proof load testing, and lifting equipment repairs. This role involves both workshop-based engineering and site work across industrial, construction and commercial environments.
This position would suit a LOLER Engineer, Lifting Equipment Inspector, or Mechanical / Engineering Technician looking for a stable, long-term role.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect, examine and certify lifting equipment in accordance with LOLER regulations and LEEA guidance
Carry out lifting equipment repairs and remedial work
Perform proof load testing to drawings, specifications and industry standards
Fit standard and bespoke lifting equipment components
Work safely in workshop and on-site environments including construction and industrial sites
Complete documentation accurately and within agreed timescales
Communicate effectively with customers, engineers and office staff
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
Experience or strong interest in lifting equipment, engineering, or mechanical inspection
GCSE Grade 4 (or equivalent) in Maths and English
Full UK driving licence
Ability to handle heavy lifting equipment safely
Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
Good communication and teamwork skills
LOLER inspection experience
LEEA Foundation or LEEA LEG
Desirable (not essential):
Engineering, mechanical or fabrication background
Proof load testing experience
Lifting Equipment Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship
Construction or industrial site experience
Forklift, Overhead Crane or IPAF certification
Company vehicle for site work
