The school supports pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, including emotional regulation difficulties, anxiety, attachment and trauma-related behaviours, and challenges with behaviour and engagement in learning. Pupils benefit from consistent routines, clear boundaries and a calm, relationship-led approach that helps them feel safe and ready to learn.

You will be joining a nurturing and experienced team, working closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, pastoral staff and external professionals. The school offers strong leadership support, structured behaviour systems and ongoing SEMH-focused training to help staff thrive in their roles.

    • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and the wider support team
    • Monitor progress, celebrate small successes and build pupil confidence

    Requirements

      • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (ECTs / recent graduates encouraged to apply)
      • A strong interest in SEMH, inclusion and supporting vulnerable learners
      • Calm, patient and resilient approach to teaching and behaviour support
      • Strong communication and teamwork skills
      • Willingness to learn and develop within a specialist SEMH setting
