Crynodeb

Core Group are seeking a Fire Suppression Mechanical Design Engineer for a 12-month contract based at the Johnson Controls site in Manchester (M40 2WL).

Start: ASAP
Duration: Minimum 12 months
Working Pattern: Office-based initially, hybrid available based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mechanical design for marine fire suppression projects.

  
  

• Produce CAD drawings, P&IDs, equipment datasheets, and hydraulic calculations.

  
  

• Interpret client specifications and Approval Authority regulations.

  
  

• Support Senior Design Engineer and Project Manager.

  
  Essential:

  • AutoCAD and FireCAD (or similar) experience.

    
    

  • Strong communication skills.

    
    

  • Ability to interpret technical specs.

    
    

  • Microsoft Office proficiency.

    
    

  • Full UK Driving Licence.

    
    

  • Willingness to obtain SC UK MOD clearance.

    
    

    Preferred:
    HNC/HND Mechanical Engineering, marine/MoD experience, fire protection background (sprinkler, foam, watermist, gaseous systems).
