Crynodeb
To conduct bone densitometry and osteoporosis risk assessments, giving appropriate health promotion advice as necessary To be responsible for performing Quality Control of the scan equipment and ensuring its cleanliness To report any problems with the equipment to a senior member of staff or to contact Vertec for advice/assistance in their absence To produce, store and distribute electronic/paper assessments accordingly To work independently on provided workload, as part of the osteoporosis team To utilise knowledge and professional skills to participate in and assist with the development of a patient orientated osteoporosis and bone densitometry service that will improve patient outcomes To liaise with other health professionals relating to service provision and scan technicalities/results To participate in the education of patients, carers and other health professionals regarding osteoporosis and bone densitometry
