What will be your primary role?

In this role, you will be responsible for the technical and administrative supervision of our subordinate supervisors and their teams, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our food service programs. Your primary duties will involve comprehensive work planning. You will actively collaborate with employees to develop their performance plans, clearly communicating expectations and introducing new work techniques as needed. This includes the strategic weekly and monthly scheduling of staff, as well as the management of equipment, facilities, and materials.
You will also provide direct leadership and work direction to your team. This involves assigning tasks to individuals and offering expert technical guidance, particularly in overcoming challenging steps and processes to ensure the highest quality of work.This position requires a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive and fair workplace by applying Equal Employment Opportunity principles to all personnel management decisions. What are the Key Skills required for this role?

1. Knowledge of a wide range of principles, processes, and techniques of food service, supervisory and personnel management policies, practices, and procedures, including sexual harassment and Equal Employment Opportunity/ Equal Employment Treatment.

2. Knowledge of safety regulations, practices, and procedures.

3. Knowledge of the use and maintenance of cooking/serving equipment, precision measuring and/or other equipment common to food service.

4. Ability to read and interpret inventory reports, financial statements, production logs, diagrams and technical specifications.

5. Ability to plan and organize work assignments to include determining resources required to accomplish mission.

6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

What are the conditions of employment for this role?

1. You will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with applicable US and UK laws, rules and regulations.
2. You may be required to travel by military and/or civilian aircraft and you may also be required to travel to the US or other country, in the performance of official duties or attend necessary training, this position may also be coded as mission essential.
3. You will be required to complete a 6-month probationary period.
4. Overtime may be required.
5. You may be assigned other duties not included in this position description, but that are appropriate to the grade and skill set of the incumbent.
6. Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
7. Your work hours will be 39 hours per week on a As rostered schedule (any 5 days out of the 7 days) where start & end times may be modified due to mission needs and in accordance with the organization's flexible working policies.
8. The work may require the employee to drive a motor vehicle. An appropriate, CAT B valid driver's license may be required for the position.
