Applicants must be 18 and able to prove their right to work in UK (settled/pre-settled status or biometric residence permit).
We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable people to join fruit picking team at East Scryne Farm. This is a seasonal job available from May till end of August, early September 2025.
The main job will be harvesting fruit (strawberries and blueberries) which we grow in poly tunnels (strawberries are on table tops – waist height) . Husbandry jobs will take a place as well: planting, weeding, leaf management, moving grow bags, cleaning tunnels.
Wages are paid on a weekly basis (on Thursday) direct into worker's bank account. We pay both rates: piece rate and hourly rate (minimum wage in this moment is £12.21; from 1st April the wage will go up to £12.71). Workers must be physically fit, pay attention to details (the fruit must be picked according to specific guidelines), flexible for start and finish time (early start when warm weather forecast) and they should be able to work in a team with multiple nationalities.
Applicants must live locally and be able to make their own way to and from the farm on a daily basis!
