Salary: UofG Grade 5, £28,301 - £31,236 per annum, plus 15% shift allowance.

This is a fantastic opportunity for new or experienced Duty Manager to join the team at University of Glasgow Sport.
Join our dynamic team at UofG Sport and play a key role in delivering an outstanding experience across our busy sports facilities. We’re looking for a motivated Duty Manager to help lead our operational team, ensure excellent customer service, and keep our facilities safe, welcoming, and running smoothly
.
What you’ll do
• Lead and support our operational teams across the Stevenson Building and Garscube Sports Complex
• Maintain high standards of customer care, presentation, and safety
• Manage daily operations including staffing, rotas, equipment, and facility readiness
• Respond confidently to emergencies and ensure compliance with health & safety procedures
• Support training, development, and performance of staff
• Help drive improvements, efficiencies, and an excellent student and member experience.
What you’ll bring
• Valid Pool Lifeguard and Pool Plant qualifications
• Experience supervising teams in a busy sports or leisure environment
• Strong communication, organisation and problem solving skills
• Ability to lead by example with a positive, can do attitude
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required

This post is full time (35 hours p/w) and open ended. Full flexibility is required as operational hours are on a 3-week shift rotation between 06.00 and 22.45.
