We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Somerset to assist with the appointment of a Senior Business Support Officer, on a 1-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £13.47 - £17.82 per hour
Summary:
An opportunity has arisen to support Children Looked After by coordinating emergency accommodation and staffing arrangements. The role focuses on ensuring vulnerable young people receive safe and appropriate support, often at short notice. You will work closely with Children's Services and external agencies to secure placements and provide practical solutions for families in need.
Responsibilities:
Book emergency accommodation and staffing for young people without registered care provision
Arrange staffing support for children with disabilities where respite care is unavailable
Liaise with Children's Services teams and external agencies to coordinate placements
Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external partners
Maintain accurate records and ensure clear communication across all stakeholders
Essential Requirements:
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy workload
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Proactive, flexible, and calm under pressure

You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
You should have right to work in U.K
This role requires a Basic DBS
