Schedule: Full time 35 hours per week, between 7.30am -6.30pm. Working on a 2-week rota basis week 1 – Mon, Tues, Sat & Sun. Week 2 Wed, Thurs & Friday.

Your work will have a direct positive impact on patients, visitors, and colleagues, helping ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming space that supports the delivery of essential healthcare services every day.
What you’ll do as a Domestic Assistant You’ll be entrusted to:
- Deliver domestic cleaning services that meet agreed Service Level Specifications.
- Work to hygienic standards, following quality processes and environmental audit requirements.
- Clean floors, surfaces, furnishings, and equipment using both manual and mechanical methods.
- Empty and correctly dispose of clinical and domestic waste, replacing bags as required.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and hygienic condition, reporting any issues.
- Uphold high personal hygiene and infection control standards.
- Follow all Health and Safety, Quality, Serco, and Trust policies and procedures.
- Support colleagues through teamwork, flexibility, and assisting with training where needed.

- Experience in general cleaning and operating cleaning machinery.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety practices, including manual handling and fire safety.
- Good communication and customer‑care skills when interacting with colleagues, patients, and visitors.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to balance competing priorities.
- A willingness to complete mandatory training and continuously develop your skills.
Vetting and checks: This role requires membership of the PVG Scheme, which involves a detailed check of spent and unspent convictions and other relevant information to ensure safeguarding compliance. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire so we can provide any necessary support to help you carry out your responsibilities.
