About the role
City Lit is seeking an inspirational and forward‑thinking Head of Programme – Speech Therapy to lead one of our distinctive curriculum areas which is one of the UK’s leading centres for adult stammering therapy and speech‑related learning. This is a rare opportunity to guide the strategic direction, operational delivery and the national and international reputation of a department renowned for its specialist work with adults who stammer, and for its outstanding professional training for speech and language therapists.
You will shape the future of the Speech Therapy provision at City Lit, ensuring the curriculum remains cutting‑edge and impactful. Leading a small, highly specialised team of speech and language therapists / tutors, you will champion excellence in teaching and learning, support the development of innovative therapeutic and training programmes, and expand the reach of the department across London and beyond.

Be a qualified Speech and Language Therapist, registered with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and Health and Care Professions Council.
Be a member of a Stammering Clinical Excellence Network (CEN).
Have experience of working with adults who stammer.
Have experience within a similar role.
Have experience developing and implementing strategy.
