Elysium Training provides alternative provision for young people with significant barriers to learning, all of whom have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). We specialise in supporting learners with SEND, primarily those with SEMH needs, offering KS4 intervention and a Post-16 curriculum.

About the Role

We are seeking to appoint a Careers and Preparing for Adulthood Tutor to join our specialist Post-16 team.

The successful candidate will:

  • Deliver a structured Preparing for Adulthood and Careers curriculum aligned to learners’ EHCP outcomes
  • Support learners with SEND and EHCPs to achieve positive adult outcomes
  • Promote employability, independence and progression pathways into employment, apprenticeships, further education or supported routes
  • Work collaboratively within a trauma-informed, relational framework

Who We Are Looking For

We welcome applications from individuals who are:

  • Experienced in delivering Careers Education, Personal Development or Preparing for Adulthood provision
  • Confident working with learners with SEND, including SEMH needs
  • Knowledgeable about EHCP processes and outcome-focused practice
  • Committed to inclusive, relational approaches
  • Calm, resilient and solution-focused
  • Motivated to support learners to achieve meaningful adult outcomes


Experience within alternative provision, specialist SEND or FE settings is desirable but not essential.
