Neway International are seeking an Estate Services Manager – Building Services & Maintenance to join our client based with Southern Housing.
Location: Vassall Road, Brixton, London, SW9 6NE
Hours: 35 hours per week
Start Date: 23/02/2026
Duration: Initially for 3 months, extended after review.
Pay Rate: £19.35 PAYE / £25.20 Umbrella
IR35: Inside IR35
Work Pattern: Approximately 70% on-site, 30% office/WFH depending on business need
About the Client

The Estate Services team ensures that buildings, communal areas, and estates are managed to a high standard, supporting resident satisfaction and operational efficiency.
The Role
This temporary role provides management support within the Building Services & Maintenance function, covering a vacant post within the Estate Services team. The postholder will oversee estate‑based services, ensuring buildings and communal areas are safe, compliant, and well‑maintained. The role requires strong operational leadership, contractor oversight, and the ability to respond to estate issues promptly and professionally.
Key Responsibilities
Managing day‑to‑day building services and estate maintenance operations
Overseeing cleaning, grounds maintenance, and compliance‑related activities
Conducting estate inspections and ensuring health & safety standards are met
Managing contractors and monitoring service delivery performance
Responding to estate‑related issues, resident concerns, and operational risks
Ensuring accurate reporting, record‑keeping, and compliance with organisational procedures
Supporting the wider Estate Services team with service improvements and project work
Candidate Requirements
Experience managing estate services, building maintenance, or housing‑related operations
Strong understanding of health & safety, compliance, and estate inspection processes
Ability to manage contractors and monitor service performance
Excellent communication and customer‑facing skills
Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise in a fast‑paced environment
Confident working independently across multiple sites
