Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated qualified Early Years Educator to join our team. This role is pivotal in nurturing and developing the foundational skills of young children in a supportive and stimulating environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in early childhood education and demonstrate exceptional communication and leadership skills. You will play a key role in fostering a love for learning while ensuring the safety and well-being of all children in your care.
Responsibilities
Create and implement engaging educational programmes tailored to the developmental needs of children aged 0-2 years.
Foster a warm, inclusive, and safe environment that encourages exploration and learning.
Develop strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to promote effective communication and collaboration.
Observe, assess, and document children's progress, providing feedback to parents on their child's development.
Maintain high standards of care and hygiene within the nursery setting.
Lead activities that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
Collaborate with other educators to share best practices and enhance the overall educational experience.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safeguarding policies.
Support wrap around care for school aged children, before and after school and in the holidays.
Experience
Proven experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting is essential.
A background in early childhood education or related qualifications is highly desirable.
Strong management and leadership skills to guide junior staff and volunteers effectively.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage with children, parents, and colleagues effectively.
Driving experience is advantageous for transporting materials or attending off-site activities as required.
