Salary: £31,925 - £40,640 per annum
Location: Wakefield College
Please note, this role is for Maternity cover for approximately 12 months, ending in May 2027.
Want to work within an exciting and growing area? We are looking for someone to teach Animal Care and Management, with a specific focus on Animal Handling and Animal Husbandry across a range of levels.
We are looking for an enthusiastic professional with high standards who will be fully committed to ensuring our students achieve their full potential. The post holder must be capable of working as a member of a team with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
As a Lecturer in Animal Care, you should have:
Relevant qualifications in the Animal Management or other animal related discipline
GCSE A*-C/9-4 in English and Maths or equivalent
Experience of working with 16-18 year olds, ideally in a teaching capacity
An up to date knowledge of the relevant Animal Care curriculum.
You should have excellent communication and organisational skills. We are looking for a person who is supportive, engaging and can motivate and inspire young people to succeed and achieve their full potential.
