You will be joining a leading organisation delivering essential works across high‑speed roads and motorways. The team is responsible for maintaining safe, compliant and efficient operations across a busy network, with a strong focus on drainage, lane closures and traffic‑managed environments.
Your new role
As a Site Supervisor, you will oversee night‑shift operations across multiple sites between the Welsh border and South Lancashire. You will be responsible for managing teams on live highways, ensuring all works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme requirements.Your duties will include:
- Supervising drainage works and general highways/plant activities
- Managing teams within lane closures and high‑speed motorway environments
- Ensuring full compliance with health & safety standards and site documentation
- Completing shift reports, near‑miss reporting and escalating issues appropriately
- Coordinating with internal and external contacts to resolve on‑site challenges
- Supporting planning, sequencing and safe delivery of works
- Promoting a professional, engaged and positive team culture
What you'll need to succeed
- SSSTS certification (essential)
- Minimum 1 year supervisory experience on highways projects
- Experience working on motorways, including lane closures and traffic‑managed areas
- Strong understanding of drainage works
- Confident managing teams and enforcing safety standards
- Ability to work nights (6pm-6am) with flexibility across a 5/7 pattern
- Full UK driving licence
- Professional, proactive and able to communicate clearly under pressure.
