Long Term Futures is partnering with a Sutton based primary school to recruit a dedicated Behaviour Mentor. The school is committed to providing a nurturing environment for all pupils, particularly those who require additional support to engage with their learning and manage their emotions effectively.

Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
- Implement de-escalation strategies and manage challenging behaviour effectively.
- Act as a positive role model, building rapport and trust with disengaged learners.
- Work closely with the SENCO and class teachers to monitor progress and adapt learning materials.
- Support the social and emotional development of pupils to help them reintegrate into classroom settings.

Essential Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience working with children or young people (coaching, youth work, or school-based experience is highly valued).
- A resilient, calm, and patient personality.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to set clear boundaries.
- An understanding of SEMH and the barriers to learning faced by vulnerable pupils.
- A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one).
