Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Heath Lake & Arborfield (Hybrid Working)
Job Type: Temporary (Contract)
Start Date: 23rd February 2026
End Date: 12th January 2027
Working Hours: 08:00 - 17:30, 5 Days per Week
Rate: Up to £490 per day (DOE)
Overview:
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a key infrastructure project within the UK water sector. This role has been created to provide additional commercial capacity on an active programme and will involve a hybrid working arrangement across project sites at Heath Lake and Arborfield.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven professional to play a pivotal role in cost management, procurement, and financial performance across the project life-cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the commercial delivery of the projects
- Produce and maintain monthly commercial reporting including CVR and DES.
- Prepare and submit Applications for Payment (AFP) to the client.
- Undertake project procurement activities, including subcontractor engagement.
- Assess supply chain AFPs and support the agreement of final accounts
- Implement effective cost control measures and drive value throughout delivery.
- Identify, manage, and mitigate commercial risks.
- Support the project team in maximising cash flow and collection performance.
- Ensure all commercial activities are aligned with contract requirements and governance.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience operating at Senior Quantity Surveyor level within infrastructure, utilities, or construction environments.
- Strong understanding of commercial reporting, cost management, and procurement processes.
- Experience managing subcontractor accounts from procurement through to final account agreement.
- Ability to work collaboratively with operational teams while maintaining commercial rigour.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable working across site and office environments in a hybrid capacity.
