Hays Education are working with a warm, community focused primary school in the Dudley area who are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 2 Teacher to join their team after the Easter break. This is a full‑time role, Monday to Friday, continuing through to the end of the academic year.

Your New Role
As the Year 2 class teacher, you will be responsible for:
- Planning, preparing and delivering engaging lessons aligned to the KS1 curriculum
- Using strong phonics knowledge to support early reading and writing
- Making use of allocated PPA time, which will be fully covered
- Contributing to assessments and supporting pupils to meet their end‑of‑year expectations
- Creating an inclusive classroom environment where all pupils can thrive
- Attending school meetings, including team meetings, reviews and parents' evenings
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching and learning
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching within KS1, ideally Year 2
- Strong phonics knowledge
- Ability to plan for a range of learning needs
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills
- A passion for supporting children at a crucial stage in their primary education
