Neway International are seeking two Solicitors (Litigation – Legal) to join our client based with Southern Housing.

Location: Fleet House, 59–61 Clerkenwell Road, London, EC1M 5NW
Hours: 35 per week
Start Date: 02/03/2026

Work Pattern:

Week 1: Full‑time office attendance

Weeks 2–5: 3 days office / 2 days remote
Pay Rate: £45.00 PAYE per hour / £59.14 Umbrella per hour
IR35: Inside IR35

About the Client
Southern Housing is one of the UK’s largest housing providers, delivering essential services across London and the South East. Their Legal Services team supports the organisation in managing risk, resolving disputes and ensuring compliance across all operational areas.

The Role
Solicitors are required to provide litigation support during a period of vacancy cover. The postholders will manage a varied caseload of housing‑related legal matters, offering expert advice, preparing documentation and representing the organisation in line with regulatory and legislative requirements. This role requires strong litigation experience, excellent drafting skills and the ability to work confidently within a fast‑paced legal environment.

Key Responsibilities
Manage a caseload of litigation matters relating to housing and tenancy issues.

Provide clear, accurate legal advice to internal stakeholders.

Prepare legal documents, statements, bundles and correspondence.

Represent the organisation in court proceedings, hearings and negotiations.

Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies and regulatory frameworks.

Work collaboratively with operational teams to resolve disputes efficiently.

Maintain accurate case records and manage deadlines effectively.

Candidate Requirements
Qualified Solicitor with experience in litigation (housing litigation desirable).

Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and legal processes.

Excellent drafting, analytical and case management skills.

Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.

Full compliance documentation required.
