Are you looking for a career where "making a difference" isn't just a cliché, but a daily reality? We are seeking a dedicated, resilient, and empathetic Trainee Teacher to join our world-class specialist school.
We provide an outstanding education for children and young people on the autism spectrum. This isn't your typical classroom role; you'll be working within a multidisciplinary team using evidence-based, data-driven approaches to unlock the potential of every pupil.
The RoleAs a Trainee Teacher, you won't be thrown into the deep end alone. You will work 1:1 or in small groups with students, learning to implement bespoke educational and behavioural programs.
-
Learn as You Earn: Gain hands-on experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN) while receiving comprehensive internal training.
-
Behavioural Expertise: Master the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) to support communication and life skills.
-
Collaborative Growth: Work alongside Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists to provide holistic support.
-
Passion over Experience: You don't need a teaching degree yet. We value personality, patience, and a genuine desire to support young people with complex needs.
-
Resilience: The ability to remain calm and positive in challenging situations.
-
Communication: Strong verbal and written skills for reporting on student progress.
-
Education: A degree is preferred (ideally in Psychology or Education), but we welcome candidates with strong A-Levels and a heart for social care.
"The best part of this job is seeing a student master a skill they've struggled with for years. You aren't just teaching a curriculum; you're providing a voice."
-
Career Progression: Clear pathways to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Board Certified Assistant Behaviour Analyst (BCaBA) roles.
-
Supportive Environment: High staff-to-pupil ratios and a culture of peer support.
-
