ACE (Active Community Enterprise) is looking for a dedicated and passionate individual to join our bank team in Belle Vale. As a Community Support Worker, you will play a vital role in empowering adults with learning disabilities through various vocational and social activities.
We are primarily looking for people to join our bank to cover for permanent staffs holidays and absences.
Your primary responsibility will be to facilitate a supportive environment where our members can develop new skills, build confidence, and engage with the local community. Whether you are assisting in our workshops, helping with community projects, or providing one-on-one support, your goal is to promote independence and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities:
• Leading and supporting daily activities and workshops for ACE members.
• Fostering a safe, inclusive, and positive environment.
• Assisting members in developing life skills and vocational experience.
• Collaborating with the team to plan community outreach and events.
Requirements:
• A genuine passion for community work and supporting others.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in a similar care or support role is preferred but not essential (personality and values are key!).
• A patient, resilient, and "can-do" attitude.
