Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles, ensuring they meet safety and performance standards. Monday-Thursday 8.30am-3pm, friday 8.30am-12pm
no weekends/bank holidays
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostics of vehicles using schematics and technical manuals
Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems, including engines, brakes, suspension, and electrical components
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out assembly and repair tasks efficiently
Interpret technical drawings and schematics to identify issues accurately
Carry out welding and equipment repair as required to restore vehicle integrity
Assist with the installation of new parts and components, ensuring proper fitment and function
Maintain detailed records of all work performed for quality assurance and customer transparency
Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and addressing client concerns effectively
Handle heavy lifting safely when moving parts or equipment around the workshop
Skills
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical manuals
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialised diagnostic equipment
Experience with assembly, maintenance, and equipment repair processes
Knowledge of welding techniques relevant to vehicle repair tasks
Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately
Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude towards clients
Physical strength for heavy lifting tasks and manual handling of vehicle parts
Good organisational skills to manage multiple repair jobs efficiently
