Location: Crowndale Centre
Hours: 36 per week, 07:00–15:15

The Role
A Multi Skilled Commercial Engineer with an electrical bias is required to provide vacancy cover while permanent recruitment is underway. The postholder will undertake planned and reactive maintenance across commercial electrical systems, ensuring safe operation and minimal disruption to educational settings. The role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent customer service and the ability to diagnose and resolve issues using IT and BMS systems.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on commercial electrical systems, including pumps, calorifiers and cold‑water service outlets.
Provide maintenance and engineering support across schools and other educational buildings.
Deliver high‑quality customer service to staff and site users.
Undertake installation of plant and equipment relevant to the role.
Use IT systems, including BMS platforms, to diagnose faults and support efficient resolution.
Ensure all work complies with safety standards, regulations and council procedures.
Candidate Requirements
Proven experience as a commercial engineer with strong electrical bias.
Ability to work across a range of commercial systems and plant.
Experience working in educational or public‑sector buildings is desirable.
Strong diagnostic skills and confidence using BMS and IT systems.
Full compliance documentation including ID, eligibility to work and references.
