⭐ Personal Assistant / Rehab Support (Hull)
~15 hours per week | Up to £22.50/hr | Direct Payments (self-employed preferred)

We’re looking for a kind, reliable Personal Assistant to support a young dad recovering from stroke. This is a positive, rehab-focused role supporting independence, family life, and recovery — not traditional care alone.

Current support needs (honest picture):
• Daily help getting safely in/out of the shower
• Occasional help washing one arm, passing items, or dressing if fatigued
• Most meals currently prepared to support pacing and recovery (working towards independence)
• Encouragement with rehab exercises, mobility, pacing and routine
• Support re-engaging with normal life — cooking, music, walking, outings
• Some supervision/support in his dad role if fatigue or mobility make things harder (toddler at home)

About James:
Motivated, funny, creative and determined to recover. Fatigue is his biggest limiter , but he’s improving steadily and wants support that promotes independence, confidence and normal life again.

⭐ We’d love someone who is:
• Warm, patient and emotionally intelligent
• Flexible around fatigue day-to-day
• Comfortable encouraging rehab and independence
• Happy working around family life
• Healthcare / therapy students very welcome (not essential)

Practical bits:
• Around 15 hrs/week initially (flexible)
• Up to £22.50/hr depending on experience
• Paid via Direct Payments
• Self-employed/sole trader preferred (manage own tax/insurance)

✨ This role is about helping someone rebuild life after stroke — it genuinely matters.

Message me if interested — happy to chat informally first.
