Job Description: Social care work opportunity for a Personal Assistant. Listed below are details of the job and what tasks are involved. It is advisable to refer to these when submitting your application and advise of the days/hours you are available.I am a lady living with long‑term physical and mental health conditions, currently managing a busy household with my husband, two lively young children, aged 2 and 4 and a dog. I have a dry sense of humour and a friendly, down-to-earth approach, but I can find it difficult to accept help therefore patience, encouragement and a calm, warm presence are essential.I am looking for a Personal Assistant who can support me with practical day‑to‑day tasks, helping to reduce pressure and create more balance at home.Location: Marham, PE33Details:- Food preparation and batch cooking for the week, accommodating my food allergies.- Support to clean and tidy the kitchen after cooking.- Meal planning that supports healthy, nutritious choices for the whole family.- Support with shopping - either accompanying me or helping me access the community to do this.Personal Specification:The ideal candidate will be reliable, supportive, friendly, and confident working around children and pets. If you enjoy helping families stay organised and thrive in a role that combines practical tasks with positive encouragement, this could be a great fit.Essential:- Patience and the ability to reassure and support someone who sometimes struggles to accept help.- Comfortable around young children and a friendly family dog.Desirable:- Experience working in a family setting or with individuals with long-term health conditions.Summary Terms and Conditions- The rate of pay for this position is £12.38 per hour- Hours and times of work as follows: 7 hours per week, ideally Thursday or Friday- The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work I would normally expect to be done during 5.6 consecutive weeks.- Access to free Care Skills training for employed workers.The post is subject to the following:- A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check, the cost of which will be covered by the employer.- Completion of a satisfactory probation period of 6 months.
