What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking a proactive, supportive and highly organised Parent and Family Support Advisor (PFSA) to join our dedicated team at The Castle School, Taunton. This is a vital role focused on building strong, positive relationships with families, supporting student wellbeing, and helping children overcome barriers to learning so they can thrive both socially and academically.
The PFSA will work closely with students, parents/carers, school staff, external agencies, and the wider community to provide early help support, guidance and practical interventions that are solution-focused and committed to improving outcomes for children.
We are looking for someone who has experience working with children, families or in a community-focused role that is empathetic and able to build strong relationships with a wide range of people. If you understand the challenges families may face and are skilled at offering practical, non-judgemental support, we would like to hear from you.
What the school offers its staff
We can offer you: An opportunity to work in an experienced and supportive team from whom you can learn, develop and grow. A friendly, busy and dynamic workplace where each day is different from the last. A competitive salary. Wider opportunities to be involved across our Trust. An energised and professional working environment.
Commitment to safeguarding
Blackdown Education Partnership is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We particularly welcome applications from under represented groups including ethnicity, gender, transgender, age, disability, sexual orientation or religion.
